A rich man is nothing but a poor man with money.

- W. C. Fields

Why did you vote for Obama?

I have researched this issue and found that you voted for Obama you will fall into the following four catagories

1) You are stupid, you know who you are, and you’re not alone, it's not against the law to be stupid here in America, and there are lots of stupid people here. But if you’re stupid maybe you just shouldn’t vote.

2) You are ignorant. As with stupidity, ignorance too is widespread here in America, in fact most people who voted for Obama fall into this catagory. Ignorance is forgivable, and more importantly, curable. Ignorance is fostered on you by government schools and the media. You need to take charge of educating yourself. That means not getting your news from Entertainment tonight or USA Today, it means doing real research into who you are voting for…

3) You are Black and you wanted to score one for ‘our side’ and get ‘one of us elected’ You said the same thing when OJ Simpson brutally murdered two White people. Don't get me wrong here, there are plenty of good Black people who voted for Obama for reasons 1 & 2, but there are those who yearn for payback and think America owes them something, Yes racism is alive and well in America… By the way, I am voting for Herman Cain, so STFU...

4) You are a real, actual socialist. Get the **** out of my country and move your ass to Cuba...

A few differences between Liberals and Conservatives, as I see them...

1. Personal Accountability

Liberal: Social inequality, inadequacy, and injustice are the reasons people cannot succeed in society. Minorities cannot make it on their own, so we must help them (Isn’t this racist?) We can use legislation to make life fair.

Conservative: People are responsible for their own success or lack thereof in life, not society, not their color, their religion, their sexual preference etc... Yes, life can be hard, but you have the ultimate responsibility to make it good or bad... By the way, life is not fair, and there is no guarantee of fairness in the Constitution.

2. Abortion

Liberal: Abortion is a woman’s right and unborn babies can be killed, in many cases right up to their birth.

Conservative: Abortion should be illegal in most cases and should be restricted by law.

3. Death Penalty

Liberal: Oppose the killing of convicted murderers, child molesters, etc...

Conservative: Believe the death penalty is necessary and an effective deterrent to crime, at the very least, the perpetrator will never inflict any further damage on society. (Do these two topics strike you as ironic: Liberals= kill babies/spare murderers; Conservatives= spare babies/kill murderers, I guess to liberals babies have less social value then murderers...)

4. Gun Control

Liberal: Oppose the Constitutional right to bear arms, as people cannot be trusted with guns, only governments (i.e. Police, military) should have guns.

Conservative: Believe in the Constitutional right to bear arms that our Founding Fathers gave us. "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes" – Thomas Jefferson

5. Natural Environment

Liberal: Strong regulations are needed to protect the environment, even at the expense of people and the economy. Will lie if necessary make their case (e.g. global warming).

Conservative: Be environmentally responsible, but overzealous environmental laws harm the economy and thus all people. (BTW, check out George Bush’s house as compared to Al Gore’s house(s) and see for yourself who is living the more environmentally friendly lifestyle)

6. Race Relations

Liberal: Strong anti-discrimination laws and racial quotas are needed because (see point 1)

Conservative: Any person of any race can succeed in America, for the most part, anti-discrimination laws, and specifically, racial quotas, are not needed. Your worth (Or lack thereof) should not be judges on the color of your skin, but on the content of your character...

7. Economics

Liberal: Capitalism is bad, corporations are greedy, polluting, exploitative & evil. Increase the minimum wage to help workers, tie up businesses with as much legislation as possible. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need… Use legislation to make things fair, this is what caused the housing meltdown…

Conservative: Capitalism is the cornerstone of our nation, it drives innovation, creates jobs and make our standard of living better. The market is the best way to regulate businesses. Do not raise the minimum wage because it hurts businesses in the long run.

8. Healthcare

Liberal: Government should require universal access to healthcare as in Canada, Cuba or Venezuela, i.e. My taxes pay for your medical care.

Conservative: Private insurers are preferable to government mandates, and we already have the best medical care in the world, this is why Canadians come to the US for health care.

9. Taxes

Liberal: Increase taxes on the middle and upper classes to facilitate wealth redistribution to the poor classes.

Conservative: Cutting taxes for everyone helps the economy and everyone in it, as business grows, so do jobs... A flat tax would be the best solution.

10. Military

Liberal: The military is evil and out to control/destroy all it can. Our soldiers ’torture people’, ’kill babies’, ’kick in doors’ (Those are quotes from Dick Durban and John Kerry. By the way, our soldiers did just that, to other Americans, under Clinton, look up Waco and Elian Gonzalez.) Cut military spending, act in America’s interests only with the express permission of the world body and/or with support from NATO and the UN.

Conservative: The Soldier is the most noble profession, these people are heroes, and give their blood so we can live in safety and freedom. Increase military spending, don’t be constrained by other nations or by NATO and the UN in matters of national interest and security.

11. Gay Marriage

Liberal: Favor gays rights and marriage are civil rights, including shoving it down the throat of all Americans, whether they accept it or not.

Conservative: Oppose, There is a 6000 year history of marriage as a sacred trust between a man and woman. If you allow men to marry men and women to marry women, what do you do when a man wants to marry two women? Or to marry his goat? Where do you draw the line? There will always be someone who wants to push it further. Gay civil unions work, keep marriage between a man and a woman…

12. Religion

Liberal: Oppose any display, support, or acceptance of any religion unless it is a non Judeo-Christian religion, then it is acceptable. (You can have Islamic expressions of religion, but not Christian, this is happening in our schools right now. Also, a cross in a jar of piss is art, but a Koran in a toilet is a hate crime)

Conservative: Accept our Judeo-Christian heritage, but allow all Americans the freedom to practice any religion, as long as it does not harm others. Our founding fathers were overwhelmingly Christian, and the Constitution gives freedom of religion, not freedom from religion…

13. Freedom of Speech

Liberal: You can do anything and say anything (i.e. piss Christ as art, song lyrics that demean women and advocate the killing of police, yellow journalism (Against conservatives)) unless it is against the left, then you attempt to shut them up (This is what Pelosi and Reid are trying to do to talk radio) is this really freedom of speech?

Conservative: Put limits on what is socially acceptable, but the press is always open and free to report what then want. In another vein, the market will regulate the press, i.e. the latest batch of anti-American anti-war movies flopped, left wing talk radio flopped, left leaning print is losing subscriptions, while the alternative media (Conservative talk radio, FOX news) is doing great. Maybe people DO want to hear the truth...

14. America

Liberal: America is a cause of evil in the world, we are an evil country filled with evil people. We exploit the world, pollute the world, are using up it’s recourses, and are the cause of most the worlds problems, and we hate ourselves (…well, at least the liberals do.)

Conservative: America is the greatest country in the world BAR NONE and is a force for good for all mankind. We have fought evil and won in three wars (WW1, WW2, Cold War) and are fighting it again on another front. Our economy is the powerhouse of the world, and bringing up our standard of living also brings up other’s. We spend our treasure to help others, both as a country and as individuals. We feed more people, cure more people, save more people and help more people then anyone else in the world. We are the most open and accepting people of the world, and the richest, even our poor families are better off then the average middle class family of Europe.

Taxes

Here's who pays Income Taxes here in America:

Percentage Earnings Threshold Percentage of taxes
Top 1% Over $380000 38%
Top 5% Over $160000 59%
Top 10% Over $113000 70%
Top 25% Over $67000 86%
Top 50% Over $33000 97%
Bottom 50% Under $33000 2.7%

The problem here is if you pay no taxes, and get benefits from the government, then you have a vested interest in voting for the party that is giving you 'stuff.' In other words, you have no skin in the game. I think we need to change the voting requirements so that you can only vote if you pay taxes, problem solved...
